Problems with broken links

Broken or non-functioning links can be a major problem that can have a negative impact on your campaign. What can be the reasons for a broken link?

• Formatting errors: The proper format for a link to work properly is https://www.acrelianews.com or https://acrelianews.com. If you do not add the protocol https:// or http:// it is likely that the link will cause problems in the long run. Also, never forget to add the domain (.com, .org, .es.).
• Syntax errors: Watch out for syntax errors. Check that you have entered the link correctly, without forgetting symbols (., :, //) and making sure you write the name correctly and without missing any letters.
• Expired links or non-existent websites: Check that all the links you add to your campaign are active and lead to the website you are interested in. Pay special attention that the links are not deactivated or have stopped working.
• Corporate intranet links: If you use Acrelia News to send internal newsletters, it is possible that your links lead to your company's corporate intranet. When you use intranet links in your campaign make sure that the recipients have access to the intranet to view them.

If you insert your own HTML code in the Acrelia News editor you can also benefit from the link checker, which will warn you which links do not have the right format and will be marked in yellow so you can modify them.

When you use the checker, it will not only show you the links that have an incorrect format or syntax problems, it also informs you of those links that do not lead anywhere or that are down.
